TURPLE, MYRNA LEA, 62, of Pictou, and formerly of New Glasgow and Pictou Island, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, Nov. 24, 2003, after a lengthy battle with cancer, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Mary Ellen (MacKenzie) Hayman. She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Vincent Turple; daughters, Fran (Victor) Green, Kennetcook, Linda (Brian) Huntley, Kennetcook, Anne (Don) Charleton, Lower Sackville, Brenda Temple (John), Queen Charlotte Island, B.C.; sons, Robert (Lorna) Jensen, Winnipeg, Steven MacDougall, New Glasgow. She was also special grammy to Rachel, Jason, Jeff, Jennifer, Sarah, Cynthia, Noa and to great grandchild, Riley Huntley. Myrna is also survived by sisters, Mary (John) White, New Glasgow, Dianne (Donnie) MacGillivary, Lismore, Barb (Fraser) King, Egerton, Margie (Howard) Atwater, Linacy; brothers, Hugh Hayman, Calgary, Robert (Jill) Hayman, Moncton; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister, Tina; brothers, Sonny Webby, Johnny, and Vic. Visitation was held last Wednesday in the McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Cremation followed. Funeral service was held on Thursday from the St, James Anglican Church, Pictou, with the Rev. Bill White and Rev. Frances Boutilier officiating. Burial in the Seaview Cemetery. A reception followed in the church hall. Family flowers only please. Donations in her memory may be made to the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care.
