Roderick Lung legally changed his name to MacKenzie. Everyone thought he was Chinese and any time problems arose with the Chinese, the authorities raided his office. He was a lawyer and this was not good for his business, so he changed his name. The authorities use to call him for police line-ups when a Chinese fellow was a suspect. This was purely because his name was Lung, which the authorities thought was Chinese. He was not Chinese and neither were his relatives.
Roderick is a lawyer who was enthusiastic about his Scottish ancestry. He visited Isabel Richardson and would say "Oh Aye Aye" instead of "Yes". He took part in the heavy weight events in the Highland Games. In September 2001 he was honored for many years of organizing the Fresno Highland Game events. He was very interested in football and was the President-Treasurer of the Buffalos.
