LEADBEATER, Lillian F. - The death of Lillian, age 92 years, 14 Pleasant Ave., Stellarton, occurred Sunday, April 14, 2002, at her home. Born in Westville, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (Davies) Wilson. She graduated from Harley School of Nursing,in Boston, in 1930 and continued her nursing career until retiring from Aberdeen Hospital in 1975. She was a member of Sharon St. John United Church, Stellarton and a member of the U.C.W.. She was also a member of the Southern Cross Rebekah Lodge 3. Mrs. Leadbeater had a keen interest in traveling, enjoying her many excursions. She enjoyed reading but most of all had a great interest in her family and friends. Mrs. Leadbeater is the last surviving member of her family. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including locally by nephews, Judge James Wilson (Nancy), New Glasgow; David Wilson (Sue), Halifax; niece, Judy Wilson, Ottawa; stepdaughters, Phillis Leadbeater, Valda Grealey, Westville; sisters-in-law, Dorothy "Dot" MacDonald, Stellarton; Margaret Wilson, Amherst; brother-in-law, Rev. James Leadbeater, Halifax. She was predeceased by her first husband, Hugh MacKenzie; second husband, Percy Leadbeater; brothers, Gilmore, Davies, George and Samuel Wilson. Visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her funeral service will be held 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Sharon St. John United Church, Rev. Howard Crooks officiating, assisted by Rev. Scott Hillier. Burial will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens, Sylvester. Donations in her memory may be made to Sharon St. John United Church or Aberdeen Hospital.
