The Presbyterian Witness ( Sat 20 June 1908, Vol. LXI, No. 25, p. 193) states:
"McIntosh, Oswald, s/o Dr. and Mrs D. McIntosh of Pugwash, d. 4 June in his 29th year. During the last 13 yrs. of his life he was an invalid, a slight hurt to his knees spread to other joints until he gradually lost all power of motion except for limited use of one hand. 4 yrs. ago he became blind so he learned Braille. 7 yrs. ago be became a member of the Presbyterian Church. His father's skill and mother's love were lavished upon him. Interment was in Pugwash cemetery."

Myrtle McIntosh kept house for her father after her mother died.
Myrtle was the informant of her father’s death. Oddly, she said that the parents of her father, John MacKintosh and Mary M’Kenzie, were born in Scotland!
