Donald F. MacLean's notes show that Hugh MacPhie had all of his 5 children with Mary Grant. He also has wives in different order with Ellen Chisholm as second wife.

Halifax Chronicle-Herald - Wednesday, March 28, 1962 - Mrs. Alex Dunbar - Hopewell - died at the age of 77. She was born in Bridgeville and was the former Florence Chisholm, daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Robert Chisholm. She was a member of Bridgeville United Church and was active in women's' organizations at St. Columba Church. She is survived by one sister, Bessie (Mrs. Paul Fraser) - Hopewell. Her husband predeceased her as did six brothers and one sister. The body is resting at Ross Funeral Parlour, New Glasgow. Funeral service to be held 2 p.m. Thursday from Bridgeville United Church with service conducted by Rev. A.T. MacDonald.
On 25 JUN 1913 when Florence Margaret was 27, she married Alexander DUNBAR, son of John DUNBAR (23 FEB 1834-19 FEB 1897) & Barbara MACKENZIE (JUL 1840-31 DEC 1917). Rev. E.A. Kirker. Born on 2 FEB 1871 in Centredale, Nova Scotia, Canada. Some sources say Hopewell. Alexander died in 1962; he was 90. Buried in Bridgeville Cemetery, Nova Scotia, Canada. Carpenter.
